Engage students with nonfiction text skills this Christmas using this main idea and details Christmas tree activity and craft. This reading or writing activity is the PERFECT craft or bulletin board for your primary students this Christmas!
How to Use The Christmas Tree Main Idea and Details Craft:
Students can either write their own nonfiction text or recall information from text. Students will identify a main idea, write key details about it and then draw a picture. Then, students compile their work into either a flip book or a cute Christmas Tree craft. We use this for our Holidays or Christmas Around the World texts, but it can be used with any nonfiction unit in December.
